Today, In this developed world the term google performs a great role. It is an Internet technology that specializes in online advertising, Search Engine process, cloud computing, etc. The main purpose of Google is to search the text for better and exact results for people's needs. It is an American multinational technology that is most commonly known as the Search Engine. It is the leading internet search engine.

Search Engine optimization is shortly named as SEO. It is a technique for increasing the quality of your website and the visibility of your website to users. It provides the best results for the users.SEO helps business organizations to lead their site ranks high in the search engines.





This search engine works in three functions;
  • Crawling
  • Catching
  • Indexing
Crawling describes the data about a website. It scans the website and collects details about each webpage. It also discovers the updated content.

Catching means it takes a snapshot of the scanned webpage and saves it into a database based on their category.

Indexing termed as search engines getting or collecting webpages and add to google search process

How a website is crawlable?

Websites are crawlable by their webmasters. Webmasters are the custodian of a webpage that creates and carry out modifications and manages the site.

SEO can be three types;
  1. Black Hat SEO
  2. White Hat SEO
  3. Grey Hat SEO

Black Hat SEO  describes unethical practices for getting the highest rank in search engines. It violates the trust and privacy of search engines.


White Hat SEO describes ethical practices for getting the highest rank in the search engine. It doesn't violate the trust and privacy policies of search engines.


Grey Hat SEO describes it sometimes violates the privacy policies otherwise follows ethical search practices.


On-Page Optimization refers to the measures in which we can control our own websites in order to rank the website to the highest position. t is the optimization of both the source page and the content page.



Off-Page Optimization refers to the factors which are outside the website in order to improve the ranking position in search results.it includes backlinks, promotions, etc.

Keyword Stuffing is a Black Hat SEO technique. It is shady technique keywords are loaded into the webpage's metatag, content, backlinks anchor text, etc. It is an unethical search practice. This technique is against the privacy policies of the Search engine process.
Keyword stuffing is used earlier to obtain the highest rank. Now it is outdated because google doesn't give rank for these techniques.

Google introduces page ranking technology for measuring the importance and quality of webpages. Page ranking gives more trust value.

The term Passing the juice is widely used in SEO. It means that the value or equity passed from one page or site to another. These links are passed through hyperlinks. Passing the juice also named as votes in the SEO world.

PPC is typically used in SEO marketing, the advertiser or publisher needs to pay an amount for each time their add will be clicked. It is charged based on their click. 

It is also known as Cost Per Click, CPC works when every time our ad is clicked a fee will be charged. In other words, our add is not clicked by anyone the paid amount or fee will remain the same.

Bounce rate in SEO
Bounce Rate is defined as the percentage of visitors who visit a webpage who spends only a few time and navigate to other webpages. This results in webpages are of low quality.

Google performs different types of  Algorithm updates in day to day for becoming a trustworthy site for clients by giving the best and quality search results for all the needs of clients. In recent years the use of google is very high. Although it had achieved the best Search Engine in the world. Google updates are the most important events. These updates filter the webpage, avoid spamming, duplications, etc, More details are mentioned below.

1.GOOGLE  PANDA

This update address some problematic conditions that should be avoided. They are panda is totally against Duplicate content, low-quality content, plagiarism, thin pages. The website with these issues may diminish their ranking. Panda is also known as 'farming'.

In 2014 Google came with Panda 4.0 Updation. This is an updated version of google panda. It also aims to diminish the low-quality websites and filter the search results for best and quality results. When Panda update occurs the websites with low quality will be deleted. Panda filters the best search results.

2. GOOGLE PENGUIN

Google Penguin Algorithm update introduced in April 2012. Google announces this google update against Link spamming. To become the highest position in ranking people do many malpractices. Comment spamming, it means adding comments to the blog to get links to their site. Another one is paid link for the rank highest position in search results, Link exchange; Exchanging links from one site to another for maximizing the ranks.

In 2016 google came over with Penguin 4.0 google Updation; It is the follow up of the Penguin Google Algorithm update. Penguin 4.0 is a real-time punishment process; When penguin notices or catches these malpractices for getting a high rank in the search process they will punish and delete your website.

3. GOOGLE PIGEON

Google Pigeon Algorithm Update introduced in August 2013. This update is first introduced by the UK and the US.

One of the important updates in Google updates. For improving the quality and best search results this google update focuses on the distance and location. This search result gives real-time results. It is also termed as Local SEO. It is based on a local area search when a person searches for a hospital; Search results give nearby Hospitals.

4. HUMMINGBIRD ALGORITHM UPDATION

Google introduced Humming Bird in September 2013. It is a new searching algorithm. These give semantic search results. This search is also termed as an Interactive search. Google uses Artificial Intelligence. People can give feedback with answering queries and google undergo the majority selected answers.

The Pirate update took place in August 2012. This algorithm update is mainly used to block sites with several copyrights. Theft one's website content, multimedia to another is termed as copyright issues when this issue takes place the publisher has an option to file a DMCA complaint against these unethical issues.
DMCA is officially known as the Digital Millenium Copyright Act. It prevents stealing content from our website.

Title tags are the most important element of an SEO strategy. These tags are the HTML elements in which the title is displayed. The title tags are displayed in search engine results. The maximum length of the title tag displayed by google is 55-60 characters. If the user keeps titles under 60 characters; the reading percentage of our page becomes high. If the user keeps the title that exceeds 60 characters; there is a possibility to demote their webpages and the pixel width is 512. So, from this point of view pixel length and character length plays a vital role in the search engine process.

  • The title tag should be unique.
  • The next important factor is about length, don't be the title too short or not long. It ranges with the character limit.
  • The title should be attractive; it needs the attention of the users.
  • Aware of the target keyword. It should be included in the title tag. But not overuse the keyword 
  • The title should give a description of what is the post is about.

2.Meta Description

The meta description describes it as an element in the HTML code of a web page. It contains a brief description of the content of that particular page. The meta description cannot see directly, the search engine use it to view a webpage in SERP.Meta description. It is a snippet with 320 characters.

In the earlier years, the publishers use a blackhat technique for increasing the rank in SERP; the focusing keywords that were included in the meta description, were stuffed into their page, it results from an important ranking factor, but from this, users couldn't get any valid information from those pages. So, Google announced that the meta descriptions should be no longer and with relevant information that promotes the users to click the webpage, by this the CTR rate will gradually increase. So, the Meta description indirectly increases the ranking of a webpage in SERP.

  • The meta description should contain the valid and relevant description to the page
  • It should be unique.
  • The meta description should be included in the head section.
  • It should be as impressive as the title.
3.Body Optimization

Google provides more importance for body content. The body content is the human part of a webpage. This is the main part of the interaction between the user. The body section should include full detail about the topic of the page.

Following are the tips to write effective content:
  • Content should be simple without elaborating content. It should be in an understandable form.
  • Focus the keyword in the body content to pay attention to the visitors.
  • It should include only one h1 on one page; if more than one h1 include in one page the google saves the page doubtfully in a sandbox. It is a database that saves doubtfull data or webpages.

5.Keyword Optimization

Keyword optimization is also known as keyword research. It is a research about analyzing, researching and selecting the best keywords for targetting the user's traffic in search engine result pages. Keyword optimization is a crucial step in the initial stages of search engine marketing. So, by continuously performing keyword research or analysis results in a wide grow site traffic and leads to the highest position in the SERP.

Keyword Density is the percentage of times in which the focussing keyword appeared on the web page is compared to the total number of words on that page. Keyword Density can decide whether a webpage is relevant to the specified keyword.
